Bringing Prospective Clients Into Your World

Listen on

Episode notes

In episode 22 of Working Mum to Business Mum we’re continuing on my unique JOURNEY Method with the next stop of E for Entry Point.  I’ll be discussing my top three lead magnet ideas to offer value to your audience and grow your email list.

Episode Snippet:  Lead magnets are a great way to get prospective clients to enter your world and for you to build your audience and email list.  The great Facebook outage of 2021 really highlighted the importance of having your own standalone audience so that you’re not dependent on the changes, algorithms and service outages of social media platforms.

To finish up, here are your top takeaways from today’s episode:

  1. Having a lead magnet is a great way to build your email list.
  2. Lead magnets can take many forms – consider how your ideal client consumes information.
  3. You can use lead magnets to show case some elements of your high-ticket unique solution.
  4. You may need to test out different versions or formats of your lead magnet to see which your prospective clients are most interested in.
  5. Just because it’s free doesn’t mean that people will stay on your email list – you want to be sure to offer value with whatever lead magnet you choose.

Quote of the podcast: “Like Hansel and Gretel whose trail of breadcrumbs got eaten, your customer may lose their way once they have left your website and they may never come back.  An email marketing list helps you remind your customers of who you and your business are.” ~Nina Montgomery

Building your email list is considered one of the key ways to have success in your business.  There are many ways to do this, but offering value through a lead magnet is a quick and easy way to do this.  It allows prospective clients to get a sense of who you are and what you have to offer.

Join me next week for episode 23, where we reach the final stop on the JOURNEY Method, also where the journey for your future clients starts – Y for Yearning.  We’ll be going back to the first part of the social media strategy I spoke of in episode 21 – getting in front of your future ideal clients and hooking them so that they want to know more.

Before I finish up, a quick reminder of my next book club episode, episode 25 where I’ll be sharing my top ten take aways from the book, Authentic, Aligned and Abundant by the amazing Di Hill.  I’d love to hear your insights and will include them in the discussion so be sure to share them with me on my social media (all the links in the show notes).
